Our Sialkot roots

Instrument making, shaped by hand in Sialkot

Scalpra brings together surgical, dental, and beauty instruments made in Sialkot, Pakistan. Each piece is shaped, finished, and inspected by hand, so the balance and edges are right before they reach your practice.

The Sialkot tradition

Generations of metalworking in one city

Sialkot has a long tradition of metalworking, passed from one generation of craftspeople to the next. Forging, grinding, and joint assembly are carried out by specialists who work side by side, each stage building on the one before.

That shared expertise is what allows us to bridge regional forging heritage with the demands of modern healthcare and beauty practice, with careful manual inspection at every stage.

From steel to instrument

Five stages of production

01

Forging

Raw high-grade stainless steel is forged and cut to the rough shape of each instrument.

02

Shaping

Craftspeople grind and file the jaws, blades, and bows to their working profile.

03

Assembly

Hinges and box locks are fitted by hand so each joint moves smoothly and holds its alignment.

04

Cleaning

Instruments are ultrasonically cleaned to remove residue from grinding and polishing.
